Description
Clean Boost
Our compact (1590A size) clean booster provides a clean boost, or a volume cut. It can be used at the end of a pedalboard to boost or cut the overall signal going to your amp. You can use it in conjunction with a true bypass looper as makeup gain for devices that cut your volume when engage. You can also use it to juice distortion or overdrive pedals. Use it anywhere you’d like to boost, or cut, your sound.
Peppermint & Little Black Booster
Use our peppermint and little black booster to juice amps or other pedals, such as distortion pedals. The peppermint boost provides around 25dB of boost and at 3.6” x 1.5″ x 1.2” (1590A size) is compact enough to fit on virtually any pedalboard.
The Little Black Booster has the same booster circuitry as our Peppermint Booster, but features a black enclosure, a premium soft click latching switch, and an aluminum control knob.
Booster Looper
The booster looper is a true bypass looper with a clean boost circuit on the return of its effects loop. The booster looper is helpful to boost pedal that have a volume dip when engaged. It can also be used on its own as a clean booster by simply connecting the send/return jacks of its loop with a patch cable.
Passive Tone Control, Passive Tone Control with Bypass Switch, & Passive Volume + Tone Control
The passive tone control is similar to an on-board tone control on a guitar, except in pedal form — a simple passive low-pass filter. We also offer a version with a footswitch that engages/bypasses the tone control. The bypass switch version is still passive, with power only needed to make the LED light up.
The passive volume + tone pedal is a similar circuit to that found on a standard Fender guitar, with a passive 250k volume control plus a passive low-pass filter tone control. We also offer a version with a bypass footswitch.
Please note: the passive tone control will only work with a high impedance (non-buffered) signal. If the signal is buffered, the tone knob won’t do anything.
Tone Control + Booster
The Saturnworks tone control + booster is a tiny pedal that lets you sculpt your tone. It also has a boost on tap to juice amps, other pedals, or keep your signal going strong over long cable runs.
The Saturnworks tone control + booster is based on the popular BMP tone circuit. The BMP tone circuit is a high-pass filter when turning the knob clockwise and a low-pass filter when turning the knob counterclockwise, with a midrange scoop. A problem with the regular BMP is that, being passive, it has a noticeable volume drop. The Saturnworks tone pedal includes an integrated boost to compensate for the volume drop. You can also use the volume knob to boost your signal and use the pedal as a booster. Our version also includes a second ‘presence’ control knob. The presence control gives you either a flatter EQ or the characteristic BMP tone circuit’s mid scoop.
You can use the tone/volume pedal as a standalone pedal in your regular signal path, or you can use it as a tone/volume controller for another device by putting both in the loop of a true bypass looper.
Black Booster + Tone Control
The black booster features the same circuitry as the booster + tone control pedal–a tone control knob, a mid cut ‘presence’ knob, and a boost knob, but adds a true bypass switch, a powder coated black enclosure, and premium Switchcraft jacks.
The black hermit booster/tone control features our soft click latching switch. Our soft click latching switch is the highest quality and quietest mechanical latching switch money can buy. Made in small batches in Japan, the soft click switch is not only surprisingly smooth and quiet, it is rated for an astounding 200k actuations (standard switches are rated to around 10k).
Our boost and tone control pedals are handcrafted with boutique grade components including:
- High quality footswitches.
- Rugged cast-aluminum enclosures.
- Heavy duty Neutrik jacks or Lumberg jacks on the tone control/booster.
- Handcrafted and bench-tested in Washington, USA.
